No matter where you’re at in your skydiving journey, figuring out the best next wing for you can be a tricky decision with so many options on the market. We’ve created 3 useful tools to help you choose the right parachute for you.

Tool 1: Parachute Buyer’s Guide

Buying a skydiving canopy is a mystifying experience if you don’t know your semi-ellipticals from your fully ellipticals, think wing loading is what happens while your parachute is in production, and have no idea what the difference is between a Crossfire and a crossbrace.

We’ve written a comprehensive guide that goes through the step-by-step process of buying a parachute. Whether it’s your first canopy or your third, you’ll find useful information about choosing the right parachute for you.

Tool 2: Canopy Selector

Our Head Designer, Julien Peelman, used his brain skills to create a tool that calculates what your next skydiving parachute should be. Enter in your exit weight, jump numbers, current canopy size and this useful tool will pump out some suggestions. Watch our video for how to use the canopy selector here.

Tool 3: Wingloading Calculator

As well as skydiving experience, currency and a few other factors, knowing your wingloading is a good idea when purchasing a new parachute. This useful tool calculates your wingloading for any size canopy. We’ve got the step-by-step instructions at the top of the calculator and a few links at the bottom. It also shows which canopy model is best for your wingloading and canopy size.

Pack Volume Charts

We have pack volume charts for each canopy model in the Features section on the product page. These charts are for the most common containers on the market and the data was gathered from extensive feedback from skydivers. If you don’t see your container info there, flick us an email and we can help you out. Alternatively, you can also ask the container manufacturer for pack volume information.

Not everyone wants or can afford a brand new parachute, so we’ve written a blog article with tips and advice for buying a second hand parachute.
