The ultimate all-rounder. Reborn.
The Safire 4 is your gateway to true progression — and your excuse to never grow out of it. Born from the legacy of one of our most iconic designs, the Safire 4 takes everything people loved about the Safire 3 and cranks the volume.
Packed with smart, performance-driven features in a fun, forgiving wing, this canopy delivers smooth, stable flight with a powerful flare and sharp looks to match. Predictable enough to trust, spicy enough to keep you grinning — it’s like your best mate with a wild side.
From your first jump post-A license to jump #2,000 when you’re mid-boogie chaos and your pack jobs have got feral — the Safire 4’s the one you’ll keep coming back to. Because it never judges. It just flies.
Available in sizes: 109 – 189
Recommended wing loading: 1.0 – 1.6
The Safire 4 lives right in the sweet spot between our floaty Helium and the sassier, faster Crossfire 3. It’s made for jumpers who want style, performance, and progression-ready flight in one outrageously fun package. Like a mullet, it’s business up top, party on the toggles.
We took the beloved blueprint of the Safire 3 and gave it a nerdy glow-up. The result? Cleaner aerodynamics, smarter efficiency, and flight characteristics that’ll make you feel like you actually know what you’re doing (even on load 1 on a Saturday morning).
It’s available in sizes 109 to 189 and thrives at wing loadings from 1.0 to 1.6.
Fly spicy. Land nice-y. Progress on your own terms.
Aspect Ratio: 2.55
Glide Ratio: ~2.8
Taper Ratio: 0.83
Fabric: J-ZP (tough, sleek, and zero porosity, baby)
Tiny ribs, big results. The Safire 4 brings mini ribs to the party—an aerodynamic flex that boosts glide and flare like you wouldn’t believe. These little legends help shape the tail more precisely, giving you buttery landings, smooth slow-downs, and that “wait, was that a stand-up?” confidence. Whether you're coming in hot or cruising it mellow, mini ribs make touchdown feel like a cheat code.
Stolen (with love) from the Kraken and remixed for the Safire 4, the bow tie bridle attachment spreads tension across all four risers like butter on toast. Translation: symmetrical, consistent openings that feel more “ahhh” than “AGHHH.” Less chaos, more calm. Your neck will thank you.
You can’t flex it in the loading area, but trust us—it slaps. Using 3D parametric design, we’ve refined the lineset geometry and cascade lengths so this canopy flies cleaner, glides smoother, and reacts more predictably. It's science, baby. Sexy, invisible science.
We dialled in the brake configuration to give you that sweet spot between savage stopping power and silky progressive control. You’ll feel it where it counts—on landing. More flare range, more forgiveness, and more time to show off that textbook swoop (or scramble less if it wasn’t textbook). Friendly and fierce? Yes please.
Safire 4’s not here for sloppy openings or sleepy flight. We tightened up the range—sizes 109 to 189 and wing loadings 1.0 to 1.6—to match what real jumpers actually want. The low-loading floaty boys? They’ve been passed on to the Helium. Safire 4 is built for flyers who want progression without the punishment.
We gave our iconic Powerband a makeover—crisper shaping, improved support, and that extra bit of edge you didn’t know you needed. It boosts leading-edge stability and responsiveness, keeping your wing in shape and your flight on point. Oh, and you still get to colour it like a lunatic if you want to. Go wild.
She’s a classic for a reason. Carried over from the Safire 3, this tried-and-true shape delivers the same smooth, confidence-boosting ride jumpers have sworn by for years. Predictable, reliable, and anything but boring.
We kept the smart stuff—like our centre-to-tip balanced inflation design. This means clean, controlled, on-heading openings that don’t try to roll you up like a burrito. It's subtle. It's effective. It's peace of mind at 4,500 feet.
The internal architecture is all about strength where it counts. Reinforced internals, optimised crossport placement—engineered for consistent pressurisation and durability that keeps up with your jump count. Safire 3’s backbone, upgraded.
Who should fly it?
You’re hunting for your first legit sports wing. Maybe you’re a tunnel rat with insane freefall skills but need a canopy that’ll help your flying catch up. Maybe you’ve passed 500 jumps and just want a solid daily-driver that doesn’t bite. Maybe you’re experienced but still a little canopy-shy—and hey, that’s totally valid. Or maybe you’ve clocked thousands and just want something fun, reliable, and low-drama.
What can you expect when you fly the Safire 4?
The Safire 4 is made for you. It’s the all-rounder that grows with you: forgiving enough for learning, responsive enough for levelling up, and fun enough to keep you grinning on every hop ’n pop.
Openings: Smooth, Stable, On-Heading
Safire openings are legendary—and now they’re even better. The Safire 4 delivers the same soft, progressive snivel you love, with increased heading reliability across all sizes. The new bow tie bridle helps balance the load during deployment, so even if your body position’s a bit questionable, it’ll still treat you right. Terminal, sub-terminal—doesn’t matter. These openings are as chill as they come.
Toggles: Easy Inputs, Big Flare Energy
It’s responsive without being twitchy. Toggle input is intuitive, clean, and balanced—ideal for building confidence and nailing precision landing patterns. We’ve upgraded the brake configuration to give you a stronger, more progressive flare. More range. More stopping power. More room to style your landing (or just save it).
Harness Flight: It Responds When You Do
The Safire 4 likes it when you mean it. Shift your weight intentionally and it’ll move with you—clean, stable, and predictable. Carve smooth turns or hold a heading with ease. It’s not hyper-reactive, just in tune with what you’re putting down.
Front Riser Flight: Optional, But Effective
At lighter wing loadings, you probably won’t even need them. But if you’re flying it a little spicier, the front risers are accessible and easy to manage—no surprises, just clean, controllable dives when you want to pick up speed or tighten your line. Front riser pressure is similar to the Safire 3—there when you need it, chill when you don’t.
Rear Riser Flight: Long Glide, Little Effort
Thanks to that sweet mini rib shaping, rear riser performance has levelled up. It glides longer, straighter, and responds well to small, deliberate inputs. Whether you’re stretching a long spot or going deep on final, rear risers give you that little extra reach without breaking a sweat.
Performance: Refined, Not Radical
We’ve squeezed more out of the wing—mostly in flare and glide—without making it harder to fly. It’s still that super-forgiving Safire feel, just sleeker, smoother, and a little more grown-up. It’s not trying to be a swoop machine—but it is trying to impress you.
Recovery & Flare: Fast Bounce-Back + Fun Landings
Recovery from dives and turns is quick and clean—no wallowing, no sketchy surprises. The flare arc is more powerful and progressive now, thanks to that updated brake setup. Whether you’re floating it in on a tailwind or flaring it all the way on a no-wind day, Safire 4 gives you time, power, and grace.

We could’ve gone with something “good enough” for the Safire 4, but that’s just not in our DNA. J-ZP is our signature fabric for a reason. It’s our new and improved ZP – developed to be better, stronger, and more reliable. It’s the same high-tenacity 30-denier rip-stop nylon, silicone-coated on both sides, that we trust across everything from the Safire 4 to our high-performance wings and workhorses. The Safire 4 is all about versatility, and J-ZP backs it up with the perfect balance of durability, pack volume, and rigidity. It’s strong, less stretchy, and tough enough to keep pace with your progression. We didn’t stop at “good”—we pushed the limits with lab tests and real-world trials from dropzones across the planet, making sure this fabric can take anything you throw at it.
